Superficial Radiation

At ROCJ Superficial Radiation Treatment is offered for the treatment of keloids, skin cancer and surgical scars. Superficial radiation therapy uses a low energy radiation beam (X-ray). This beam only penetrates the top surface layer of the skin, avoiding deep tissue damage which minimizes scarring, particularly around the face.
